About GRANTED Group Family Daycare

Granted Daycare is a safe, clean and nurturing environment with love.

I'm a mother, foster parent, former home health aide and direct care worker. For the past 25 years I have dealt specifically with people's health and well being.

Providing families with quality home childcare in a safe, clean learning environment. Granted Day Care gives children various opportunities to learn and be creative.

Our daycare will utilize the latest technology and teaching methods to prepare children for

school.

Granted Daycare gives children the added security and love of being cared for in a home setting, while at the same time giving parents the peace of mind of knowing their children are under the supervision of licensed by Department Of Health and CPR & First Aid Certified professionals.

Education and development are important, but we know that nothing matters more than the

safety, security and health of your child. That’s why protection and preparation are critical in everything we do.

From first aid training for emergency situations to ensuring a clean and healthy environment for children, we have plenty of experience ensuring that every child is happy, healthy and learning.

Wellness

• We assess every child’s health by talking w ith parents and monitoring for symptoms

during the course of each child’s day with us; we increase assessment during flu season.

• We notify parents when a child does not feel well to help prevent an illness from

spreading.

Cleanliness

• We clean our center each day with safe, non-toxic cleaning products.

• Our floors are cleaned daily.

• Cleaning supplies are locked safely out of reach of children.

• We sanitize toys throughout the day to help prevent the spread of germs.

• We encourage children to wash their hands throughout the day by singing songs and

teaching lessons about health and hygiene.

• Diapering is conducted in an area separate from children’s play area.

• Children (and parents/siblings) do not wear shoes when inside the house. They must be

taken off before entering and left on the rugs that I have provided. This helps to keep

carpets more sanitary for crawling children.

Slippers can be brought from home or there are slippers available for children to wear if

they wish to.

Security

• Our center is secured so that only authorized staff and families may enter.

• Safe, secure perimeters ensure that children can enjoy outdoor play safely.

• We use safety gates, window guards (except fire escapes) and cap electrical outlets.

• Our center includes smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher.

• Radiators and heaters are covered to prevent your child from touching something hot.

Granted's Staff Qualifications

• We have dedicated, friendly caregivers who are trained in child development and   earlychildhood education.

• We conduct criminal background checks to ensure trustworthy staff and passionate

teachers.

• We provide the best care and education for your child.

• Our staff and teachers are trained in first aid and CPR.

Our caregiving and teaching approaches are reflective of Erik Erikson's theories. His theory of Psychosocial Development relative to trust or mistrust by children, makes clear that from age's birth to one year, children begin to learn to trust others based upon the consistency of their caregiver(s). If trust develops successfully, children gain confidence and security in their world and are able to feel secure.

Safety 1st

Please be in control of your child during drop off/pick up times and don’t allow them to play

around outside.

When arriving, please do not allow children to run to the door without you. When leaving, please do not allow children to run out to your car while you are still inside. Our safety rule is "No one goes outside without their parent (or guardian) with them."

There are other cars that may be coming and going in the driveway and a serious incident could occur.

These rules include siblings that may be with you at drop off/pick up.
